Dr Ridwan Ahmed launches Hijama (Cupping Therapy) in the West Midlands!

If you live in or within travelling distance to the West Midlands, Luton or East London areas, and are interested in getting Hijama Therapy, then you need to read this!

"I'm a doctor - practicing and living in Birmingham and I am currently working as a GP trainee.

I have undergone various practical sessions and am currently undertaking a Hijamah course recognised by the Complimentary Medical Association (http://www.the-cma.org.uk/). I have been trained directly by the world famous Dr Ahmad Hafny from Cairo who directs a leading Hijamah school in Cairo and also runs regular clinics in Egypt, Saudia Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

I am also a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society (http://www.medical-acupuncture.co.uk) and have carried out extensive case studies on patients in a General Practice setting, managing conditions ranging from simple backaches, headaches and sciatica to sinusitis, dysmenorrhoea and postherpetic neuralgia.

As a fully practicing medical doctor, I have been providing free health check consultations as well as private Hijamah and acupuncture services for many patients in the West Midlands, as well as Luton and East London areas, at a very reasonable rate.

Please do contact me for advice or to arrange a session, whether it is for a certain ailment and condition or for reviving the sunnah at the prophylactic (preventative measure) position on the upper back.

As a final note, I would like to emphasise the importance of safe, clean cupping. It is vital that hygienic, safe Hijamah is performed taking into account each individuals' past medical as well as drug history.

Contact now for free advice & appointments at very reasonable rates."

Gout can be treated with Hijamah. There are specific positions corresponding to its treatment. I have not yet treated gout with hijamah, although I am currently treating two brothers with psoriasis, including one with psoriatic arthritis. If there are other practitioners with experience in treating gout, it would be great if you could share your expertise.

Hi Shabir

Maybe we can arrange some sessions for you with Dr Ahmed and do a study as to whether hijama can treat gout! (that is, if Dr Ahmed is available for this).

In fact Dr Ahmed you mention psoriasis. I know someone who has eczema (which I understand is similar). Out of interest, how many sessions do you think you will need to effectively treat or cure the patient with psosiaris?

I assume similar treatment and duration would apply if my friend wanted to treat his eczema.

Thanks

Shuaib.

The brother I am treating has had 3 sessions, on around 6 positions. I have just done dry cupping on the foot. It's still an experiment for me and the brother is tired of having to use tar and strong steroids. So far, his joint pains have reduced and he has not had a flare up of his psoriasis on his skin. Time is yet to tell.

Each patient is different and the treatment regimen for each individual will change according to the response each patient makes.
